One of Falmouth’s hidden gems, Trunk River Beach is a narrow strip of jetty lined beach running alongside the bike path. Arrive at the small, free parking lot early to guarantee a spot or ride your bike. Unlike the other Falmouth beaches along the south shore, there’s no road adjacent to the beach. The only sounds you’ll hear will be the lapping of the waves on the shore and an occasional ring of a bike bell. The beach is lined with large boulders, so if accessibility is an issue, try Surf Drive Beach instead.
