South Cape Beach
Great Oak Road, Mashpee, MA 02649
Mashpee’s only ocean beach, South Cape Beach is a narrow strip of sand that stretches for over a mile and features amazing panoramic views of Martha’s Vineyard. The beach is divided into a town-owned section and a state-owned section. Both sections are relatively narrow and very popular, so you might have to do a little walking to find room to spread out.
The town parking lot runs alongside the beach, so it’s a little easier to get to and from your car with beach gear. The state parking lot is larger, but requires a bit of a walk to the beach. Only the state parking lot offers daily parking.
Town Parking Lot: 124 spaces
- Weekly $50
- Season (Resident) $30
State Parking Lot: 225+ spaces
- Daily (MA license plate) $15
- Daily (Out of state license plate) $40
- Season (MA resident) $60
A weekly visitor pass or seasonal resident pass is required to park at all town-owned Mashpee beaches from mid-June until Labor Day. Passes are valid for Attaquin Park, John’s Pond and the town lot at South Cape Beach.
